PEEK（Polyether ether ketone）

Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is a special engineering plastic with multiple outstanding properties, including high temperature resistance, self-lubrication, ease of processing, and high mechanical strength.
It can be manufactured into various mechanical components such as bearings, automotive gears, oil sieves, shift starter plates, aircraft engine parts, automatic washing machine wheels, medical equipment parts, and more.

PEEK Material Characteristics

Polyether etherketone can be used at very high temperatures (+260°) and it shows an extraordinary mechanical strength, toughness, hardness, flexural strength, torsional strength, PEEK exhibits excellent chemical resistance, very good dielectric properties up to +260°C and a very good resistance to all kinds of radiation.
Furthermore, PEEK demonstrates outstanding heat resistance, maintaining stable shape at high temperatures, and excellent chemical stability. It exhibits superior dielectric properties before reaching 260°C and can withstand exposure to ionizing radiation (UV exposure may cause slight yellowing). Lmportantl it is self-extinguishing according to UL 94.

Precautions for Operating with PEEK

Relatively low notched impact strength.
Not resistant to acetaldehyde and has low resistance to acetone.
