The F8-22M is part of the thrust ball bearing range from ISK Bearings, with a bore (d) of 8mm, outer diameter (D) of 22mm and height (T) of 7mm. By design, thrust ball bearings are built to support loads acting in the *axial* direction, not radial loads. They are therefore more commonly found in positions where axial thrust needs to be absorbed, such as certain vertical rotating seats or axial-locating points on a drive end. If your position also carries a significant radial load, suitability still needs to be confirmed against the actual operating conditions—sharing how the load is composed helps with that judgment.

A thrust ball bearing is typically made up of a shaft washer, a housing washer and a cage. On assembly, the two washers need to match the fitting surfaces of the shaft end and the housing bore respectively. If the accuracy, flatness or preload conditions of those surfaces don't match the actual structure, running noise or uneven wear can still appear even with the correct model. Issues like these often come from the mounting conditions rather than the bearing itself—so when assessing whether the F8-22M fits, it helps to confirm the shaft and housing bore dimensions and fit requirements too.
