The 6307 is a single-row deep groove ball bearing with a 35mm bore (d), 80mm outer diameter (D), and 21mm width (B). The OPEN version has no metal shields and no rubber seals on either side, leaving the rolling elements exposed. This means that retaining lubrication and keeping out contaminants has to be handled by the surrounding assembly design, rather than by any built-in shielding on the bearing itself.
Because both sides are open, how lubricant is supplied, retained, and replenished usually depends on the equipment's own lubrication system or oil-bath environment. If the mounting location is exposed to dust, cutting fluid, or moisture, whether an additional slinger, oil seal, or labyrinth arrangement is needed is worth reviewing against the actual operating conditions. Suitability still needs to be confirmed against the real environment.
When considering the OPEN version, three points are useful to confirm first: whether the mounting point already has an existing lubrication supply or oil-bath design; the contamination level of the environment (dust, liquids, moisture); and the expected speed and load range. These directly affect whether OPEN is a suitable version, or whether a shielded or sealed version should be considered instead.
Once these lubrication and environmental conditions are confirmed — or if you already have a model number, drawing, or sample — feel free to share them. ISK Bearings can help further confirm whether the 6307 OPEN fits your application and provide a quote.
Some non-standard or currently out-of-stock bearings may not be immediately available. If you have specific requirements, feel free to contact us — we will do our best to confirm lead times and provide alternative solutions.
