The 6000 2RS, supplied by ISK Bearings, is the rubber-sealed version of the 6000 series, in the same 10×26×8 mm envelope. Both sides use contact seals, where the seal lip stays in contact with the inner ring, giving a protection intent higher than a non-contact shield against contaminants and moisture. In return, the contacting lip adds friction — something to factor in for higher-speed applications or those sensitive to temperature rise. Suitability still depends on the actual duty conditions.
Because the seal lip contacts the inner ring, speed, temperature and friction usually need to be considered together. It helps to first confirm running speed, the ambient and operating temperature range, and whether there are limits on starting torque or temperature rise. If the application calls for both stronger protection and higher speed, how to balance those two is best judged against the actual duty conditions.
