2. How to replace 6204 RS bearing & 6204 2RS bearing

(1) Remove the Back Cover:

• Start by removing the back cover of the washing machine.
• Take out one screw of the belt and the large runner.
• Remove a total of 6 screws from the three-pronged aluminum frame.
• Pull out the aluminum frame carefully.

(2) Dismantle the Bearings:

• Once the aluminum frame is removed, dismantle the bearings from the frame.
• Disassemble the two rubber sealing rings on one side of the bearings.
• Use a punch to knock out the bearings from both sides of the frame.
• Heat the bearings on a gas stove with a small fire for two minutes to make them easier to flush out.

Select Replacement Bearings:

Find replacement bearings, preferably 6204 and 6205, as they are standard parts and widely available in the market.

 

(3) Install Replacement Bearings:

• Install the two replacement bearings and the two sealing rings back into the frame.
• Use a small amount of butter to lubricate the installation process.
• Ensure that the two sealing rings are installed in the correct direction, buckled towards one side of the bearing to prevent water leakage.
• Check for any rubber rings at the shaft outlet and clean them thoroughly to prevent water leakage.

(4) Reinstall the Aluminum Frame:

• Reinstall the aluminum frame by first fixing the three screws in the middle.
• Install the screws on the three fork heads, ensuring they are placed in the correct direction.
• One of the three fixing posts may be shorter than the others, so pay attention to their positions.
• Once the frame is in place, reinstall the large runner and tighten all screws securely.
• Finally, tighten the 6 screws that fix the aluminum frame in place.

(5) Test the Washing Machine:

• Hang up the belt back into position.
• Test the washing machine to ensure everything is functioning properly.
