Types of Wheel Bearings

The general design of the car has been used for two types – rolling and plain bearings. Many tens of thousands of them. Almost all automotive units have bearings.

Plain bearings

Non-metallic sliding bearings are mainly plastic bearings, plastic bearings are generally made of engineering plastics with better performance; more professional manufacturers generally have engineering plastic self-lubricating modification technology, through fibers, special lubricants, glass beads And so on, the engineering plastics are self-lubricated and enhanced to achieve a certain performance, and then the modified plastics are processed into self-lubricating plastic bearings through injection molding.

 

At the beginning of the 21st century, the most used metal sliding bearing is the three-layer composite bearing. This kind of bearing is generally based on a carbon steel plate. Through sintering technology, a layer of spherical copper powder is first sintered on the steel plate, and then a layer of spherical copper powder is sintered on the copper powder layer. Sinter a layer of PTFE lubricant of about 0.03mm; the main function of the middle layer of spherical copper powder is to enhance the bonding strength between the steel plate and PTFE. Of course, it also plays a certain role in bearing and lubrication during work.

Rolling bearing

It is a precise mechanical element that converts the sliding friction between the running shaft and the shaft seat into rolling friction, thereby reducing friction loss. Rolling bearings are generally composed of four parts: inner ring, outer ring, rolling body and cage. The function of the inner ring is to cooperate with the shaft and rotate with the shaft; the function of the outer ring is to cooperate with the bearing seat and play a supporting role; the rolling elements are With the help of the cage, the rolling elements are evenly distributed between the inner ring and the outer ring. The shape, size and number of the rolling elements directly affect the performance and life of the rolling bearing; the cage can make the rolling elements evenly distributed and guide the rolling elements to rotate for lubrication.

The specialization of bearing production provides conditions for its production automation. A large number of fully automatic, semi-automatic dedicated and non-dedicated machine tools are used in production, and automatic production lines are gradually popularized and applied. Maintenance and service life

Various greases for lubricating materials are very suitable for the above-mentioned purposes.
